Get Started Guide For Tutors

Tutoring with WeTutor is easy. Here is a simple step-by-step overview. You can also review these steps in our demonstration video.

Step 1. Register to Tutor

1. Click the Register to Tutor link here or at the top of any WeTutor page.
2. Complete the registration form.
3. To register you will need a free Premier or Business PayPal account so that you can easily accept payments from parents. All proceeds from your WeTutor sales are deposited immediately and directly into your PayPal account.

Step 2. Complete Your Public Tutor Profile

1. After registering, you will be taken to your My Profile page to create your public tutor profile. You may also access this page at anytime by signing in, clicking on the My Account link at the top of any WeTutor page, and then clicking on the My Profile tab.
2. Complete any or all of the profile fields to provide parents with information about your tutoring services, your background, your contact preferences and more. While you are free to include as much (or as little) information as you wish, remember that your profile is the best way for you to communicate with potential parents and students and to showcase your skills and expertise.

Step 3. Go to Start Tutoring

1. After completing your profile, click the Start Tutoring link at the top of any WeTutor page.
2. This is the page where parents will contact you to start a live tutoring session. While parents can contact you through email when you are not on this page, you will need to be signed-in and on this page to conduct tutoring sessions or for any parent or student to contact you live through our chat tool.

Step 4. Practice Using the Virtual Classroom

1. On your Start Tutoring page, when you are not in a session, you can open your practice Virtual Classroom.
2. Click here to learn more about using the WeTutor Virtual Classroom.

Step 5. Invite Parents

1. WeTutor provides marketing tools that you can use to invite your existing tutoring parents to find you on WeTutor and to market your tutoring services to new prospective parents.
2. To access these tools, sign in, click on the My Account link at the top of any WeTutor page, and then click on the Marketing Tools tab.
